Renovation Madness

As our plans to renovate the house begin to take shape I can confirm that renovating is an expensive process. Who’d have thunk it? To be honest this isn’t too much of a surprise but it is interesting to note that it would be cheaper to render the entire house than install four wardrobes. How did all this come about? We started out by thinking that it would be a great idea to buy a new house. Something that I approached with more than a little skepticism that slowly evolved into excitement. Still we would have had to spend a lot more money and then there are things like stamp duty to consider. In any event we like it here so we thought “Hey, let’s stay here and finish renovating”.Having done the kitchen, floors and a bit of painting we decided to do the bathroom and the yard. And get a new patio. And get the house rendered. And get the roof done. And get some new built-in wardrobes. Long story short – a lot of money.We’ll see how we go and I’ll keep you posted…
